NAC Monday night league Bacton 23/06/14

15 turned up to fish what looked like perfect conditions and a lovely summers evening. From the start the weed was a major problem for all but an hour or so in it started to ease. Many undersize fish were caught including a 43cm Smoothhound. It was hard going for all to find a sizeable fish, but a few were successful. In third place was the ever consistant sneaky Shane Brown with 2 fish for 13oz 1/3. In second place was Simon Bone with 1 fish for 1lb 4oz (a beasty Flounder). Finally top spot went to Steve Smith with 2 fish for 1lb 5oz 2/3. As always big thanks to all for turning up ontime/ early meaning we could just crack on!!
Next week we are at Old High for the last match of the season so hope to see as many of you as possible. Please Confirm in the shop if you can make it.

NAC Monday League Cley 16th June

A stiff northerly blow meant many were hoping for a bass or two. Turned out most were just hoping to hold bottom and not blown over. A few undersize flatties came out but over all it was rather poor. A big well done to out 2 new members Elaine Roe and Edmund Tang for sticking it out not ending up in the sea although Elaine did test me twice…. So on to the results. In second place with 1fish for 4oz went to Pete Hansell. Top spot went to the ever consistant Shane Brown with 1 fish for 7oz. Next week we are at Bacton. Hope to see as many of you there as possible.

NAC Monday Night League Trimmingham 09//06/14

15 turned up to a rather hot and humid evening at trimmingham, Originally it was going to be teamed but due to a lower turnout we decided on a rover match instead. Most went to the left but a few went right. Sea was calm and not much colour to it. So we all knew it was going to be a difficult one. Flatties being the main target it was a nice surprise to hear that Steve Smith had landed his first Bass at 40cm. The biggest Flattie this season recorded fell to Paul Rickhard with a 39cm Flounder which on the conversion puts it at 1lb 6oz ish.  just before the end of the match the thunder started and most made a hastey retreat which was good as the rain came just after the results were done. So on to the results. 3rd place went to Steve Smith with 3 fish for 2lb 8oz 1/3. In second place was junior member Daniel Brown with 7 fish for 3lb 3oz 2/3. Top spot went to Peter Hansell who managed to find 8 fish for 5lb 14oz 1/3.

Next week we are at Cley fishing the flood. Hope to see you all there

NAC Monday League Kelling 02/06/14

Kelling 02/06/14
More reports of the hounds on the shingle and having missed them last week we were all hoping to bag a few. 15 turned up and i would like to just say thanks for all turning up on time so we could crack on. Weather was calm and sea starting clear up. So the fishing was slow and with just dabs and the odd flounder showing it was going to be difficult. Small baits and short range were the key to sucess. In total 51 dabs were carded along with a few pout and flounders. With 7 fish for 2lb dead was Dene Conway giving him 3rd place. In second and fisrt time in the frame was Ron De Beor with 7 fish for 2lb 2oz 2/3 and taking top spot 2 weeks in a row was Leon Smith with 10 fish for 3lb 1oz 1/3. Fianlly a big well done to everyone as no one blanked (possibly a first for the club).
Next week we are Trimmingham.
